Robert Carr is Company Managing Director, Synergy Essential Enhancing Development Services Limited, a position he has held since August 2020. Mr. Carr joined the Synergy team to bring his over 15 years combined experience in project management and over 10 years experience in the local financial sector to the organization. Mr. Carr is a creative financing visionary, strategic thinker, project manager, and social worker.

Determined, focused and goal-oriented, Mr Carr brings to Synergy Essential Limited a wealth of experience and expertise in the areas of Micro Financing, Credit Administration, Project Management, Agri Business, and Community Development, underpinned by operational proficiency. He has acquired immeasurable knowledge from a lengthy career in Micro Financing, which has seen him serve in every position from field loans officer to special projects manager responsible for designing new financial products for a diverse client base.

Throughout his career, Mr Carr has shown a unique ability to establish targeted loan programs for the micro finance sector by continually developing innovative products, cultivating new markets, and establishing unprecedented linkages between farmers and respective markets. In 2014 Mr Carr was instrumental in developing the Government of Jamaica’s program of import substitution; and developed an Agricultural Commodity Value Chain Financing program.

Mr Carr’s experience and insight throughout the trajectory of his journey have honed key skill sets that position him today as a qualified leader. He is able to visualize key objectives, analyse situations, motivate staff towards the shared goals, and ensure that the teams and the tactics deployed are effectively aligned. These are essential to his role in delivering the key objectives and promises of Synergy Essential Limited.

Mr Carr holds numerous qualifications and certifications including a BSc. in Project & Programme Management, and an Associate in Business Administration. He brings a keen appreciation of balancing targets and team management that will ensure that objectives are met while teams remain motivated.
